Changing the Perception, is an establishing non-profit, non-partisan 501(c) 3 organization that is open to anyone looking to change Orangeburg's negative perception. The only membership requirement is joining the online community service network by way of www.imachanger.org. The governing body consists of a 6 member college student board of directors. The board of directors is comprised of an equal number of students from each one of Orangeburg Colleges and Universities. (South Carolina State University, Claflin University, and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College)
